7 Ningbo companies listed in China’s top 200 foreign traders

Seven Ningbo companies are listed in the top 200 foreign traders in China, according to a research report recently released by the China Customs Magazine. Of these companies, Ningbo Qimei Electronics is listed in the top 100.

Among the 200 exporters, Ningbo Qi Mei Electronics Co., Ltd. and Ningbo Shenzhou Knitwear Group Co.,Ltd rank 145 and 159 respectively. The top 200 importers include seven Ningbo companies, namely, Ningbo Qi Mei Electronics Co., Ltd., Ningbo Zhongji Group Shares CO., Ltd., Zhejiang Yisheng Petrochemical Co.,Ltd, Ningbo Free Trade Zone Gaoxin Container Co.,Ltd., Ningbo Sunhu Chem Products Co.,Ltd. and Ningbo Pinggang Trade Co.,Ltd. The leading importer, Ningbo Qi Mei Electronics Co., Ltd., ranks 84.

The rating shows that factors including the internal migration of processing trade, increasing imports, and the growing trade in services contribute to the significant changes of China's foreign trade in 2011. Despite of the weak external demand, China's import and export in 2011 amounted to US$ 3.6 trillion, hitting a new high last year. Accordingly, the minimum import and export values increased significantly for the top 200 importers and exporters this year. Compared with 2011, the minimum value of the 200 exporters and importers rise to US$ 800 million and US$1.03 billion from US$ 640 million and US$ 820 million respectively

Expo of the Moulds' Capital Opened

The 8th Expo of China (Ningbo) Moulds Capital opened in Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center on May 24.

The expo this year has over 1,300 stalls, and it covers an area of 30,000 square meters. It opens in 5 large halls and 2 middle-sized halls, the largest in its own history and the largest in expositions of the same kind in Zhejiang.

The expo takes as its aim to "introduce new equipment, new technique and new technology and to guide enterprises to transformation and upgrading". Over 600 enterprises home and abroad participated in the expo, displaying over 800 advanced lathes of various types, tools, moulds, pneumatic equipment and fluid drive equipment.

The 4-day expo will have such events as a public lecture of the plan of the automobile park of Ningbo Hangzhou Bay New Area, a symposium of the world advanced technologies, a contest of operation skills of digital control tools, a job fair for electromechanical companies, a photo exhibition of electromechanical industry, and a meeting on industrial transformation and upgrading

North-East Asia-Ningbo Week to open in July

The North-East Asia-Ningbo Week 2012 will open in middle July in several cities of South Korea and Japan. On the afternoon of May 22, Ningbo Municipal Government held a meeting on the preparation for the North-East Asia-Ningbo Week 2012 and Ningbo's participation of the Expo Yosu 2012 in South Korea. Hong Jiaxiang, Vice Mayor, attended and spoke at the meeting.

It reported that this year is the 20 anniversary of the diplomatic relation establishment of China and South Korea, the Year of Friendship of China and South Korea, the 10th anniversary of the sisterhood relationship of Ningbo and Taegu and the year for the Expo Yosu 2012, in the North-East Asia-Ningbo Week 2012, Ningbo will host a series of activities in Seoul, Taegu, Sunchon in South Korea and Tokyo and Nagoya in Japan. The activities will be of talks of economy and trade, cooperation in education, cultural exchanges and so on.

Ningbo's 38 A-share listed companies disclose annual report

According to Ningbo office of China Securities Regulatory Commision(CSRC), the 38 A-share listed companies have disclosed their 2011 annual reports before April 26 (no report from Ningbo Cixing Co., Ltd., a new listing this year). The annual reports show 15 companies have shrinking net profit due to various reasons. The rest 23 companies are maintaining considerable growing profits. More than 70 percent of the companies will have dividends.

Among the 39 companies, 38 are profitable except Ningbo Fubang Holdings Limited. The top three most profitable companies are Bank of Ningbo, Ningbo Port and Younger Group, whose total net profit adds up to 7.484 billion yuan, accounting for 56.64 percent of all A-share listed companies in Ningbo.

Statistics from Ningbo office of CSRC show that the listed companies in Ningbo maintained a steady growth in 2011. By the end of 2011, the total asset of Ningbo listed companies had hit 486.097 billion yuan, an increase of 4.85 percent year-on-year. The net assets reached 105.669 billion yuan, a rise of 12.82 percent year-on-year. The total revenue toped 125.25 billion yuan, an increase of 16.87 percent year-on-year, accounting for 20.84 percent of Ningbo's GDP in 2011. The companies earned a net profit of 13.214 billion yuan, a rise of 4.47 percent year-on-year. The basic earnings per share(basic EPS) and return on net assets(RONA) were 0.41 yuan and 12.51 percent respectively.
